To effectively target your bait, you must fish smarter. The new Optimum downrigger is remarkably ingenious. This intelligent, connected system provides you with critical trolling data, allowing you to raise, lower, and cycle weights using the full-color LCD display, your Hummingbird fish finder, or even your mobile device. Regardless of your location on the boat, you remain in control, and the fish will be oblivious to your tactics.

Each Optimum unit features a 3.5-inch full-color LCD display. You can choose from multiple screen view options to access the trolling data you require, and two modes (light/dark) for optimal readability in any lighting condition. Complicated wiring is a thing of the past, as you can network up to four Optimum downriggers wirelessly. With the Cannon app on your mobile device, you'll have trolling data at your fingertips and total control of your Optimum downriggers from anywhere on your boat. The system even keeps your Optimum software up to date.

The Optimum's Precision Controls offer advanced features. It can store up to 5 preset depths and remember the depth of the last catch. You can cycle the weight up and down at preset intervals with the Depth Cycle function, or use Bottom Tracking to automatically maintain your bait at a predetermined distance from the bottom.

The Waterline Zero feature protects your boat from swinging weights by automatically keeping the weight at a set distance below the waterline. The Positive Ion Control (PIC) neutralizes the fish-repelling negative energy field created by your boat's electronics, allowing the fish to stay closer to your line.

The Optimum boasts five adjustable retrieve and deploy speeds, with a weight retrieval rate of up to 250 feet per minute. Its telescopic boom is made of 316 marine-grade stainless steel, extending from 24 to 53 inches, and the pre-spooled spool can handle up to 400 feet of 150-lb stainless steel cable, suitable for both monofilament and "super lines." Additionally, the Optimum includes a dual-axis rod holder with a rear-mount configuration.
